Getting Silly with Friday Afternoon Event Writing
For the last few months, I’ve been working with a studio on a science fiction game. It’s a bit like Star Trek — bold captains having adventures on their starships — but with its own style and an interesting world to explore. I’ve been helping out with system design, narrative, and writing some of the game’s incidental events.
There are many serious moments in the game which challenge the players with hard decisions. Then there are the times when Security finds a still in the science lab:
Then there’s the Tower of Hanoi puzzle. It seems like every video game does the Tower of Hanoi at some point, so here’s my take.
There is still plenty of serious writing to do for the game… but I think I’ll save that for Monday.
